The Great Photo Album Duke-Out

I may just keep the whole trip on Flickr and link back and forth. In which case this blog will not have a lot of content on this trip. We'll see how easy it is to upload vis a vis Flickr. How about posting videos? I'll be sure to be uploading to Vimeo if the computer lab has enough bandwidth. Otherwise, I'll tantalize you with photos and maybe some audio.

Do check out the past production-- several fascinating trips here already, as well as a link to The Road, the Road, my online travel book about Holland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia...and more. it was a good Whole Summer Trip.

I haven't downloaded this yet, but while I love Basecamp, I don't get more than one project at a time with my free version, and it looks as if they have actually done away with the free version. So this could be an excellent alternative.

If anybody knows anything about this software, please do comment here.

This is part of the speech by Steve, the head facilitator of the Vista Training. It's going to be an interesting three days.

Photos for Miss Giri

This is my daughter Natasha in Boston with her yellow-clad roommate, Amelie. Their OTHER roommate, Ranny, brought these dresses from her sister's collection of vintage clothing. The black dress, though it is almost impossible to photograph, is stunning taffeta with black-on-black piping and a kind of ruffle stitch.

This is the candle I'm burning to remind me of Miss Giri in Darjeeling, and to keep her spirit alive in my house until I can return to her and my other friends there.
